Life has been going on, as it does, and I have yet to blog about it. Better late than never. Here are some random photos on what we've been up to the past month or so. We enjoyed Easter at my parent's home along with some of my family and Randy's brother Mike & girlfriend, Suzanne. True to our Florida weather, it was a warm weekend and so we enjoyed the great outdoors with some cornhole games. Annie busied herself with a pool provided by the Grandma & Grandpa.
Everyone kept yelling at Mike & Suzanne's dog, Zoe, who kept running into the middle of the game. So Annie decided to do the same. It's amazing how kids pick up on EVERYTHING adults do.
She enjoyed filling her Easter eggs with water, while in the pool.
In other news, a couple weeks ago we traveled down to South Florida for a surprise b-day party for one of Randy's cousins. We got there a little early and decided to check out the beach. There are SO MANY PEOPLE in South Florida! I can see why, the ocean is beautiful down there. Much clearer and blue than what we have up here, but I prefer something a little more secluded for my own personal relaxation purposes.
Check out these fancy rides we came across on our walk...
I don't know why you would need a steering wheel on a bike. The spare tire I guess you could justify...do they have AAA for bikes?
We enjoyed some tasty pizza on the beach before heading to the party.
Last week, Randy and I were able to get out of the house (Thanks Aunt Sue & Emily for babysitting!) to enjoy a Brett Dennen concert I've been looking forward to for some time now. I came across this guy's music a few months ago and must say he's very talented. I made Randy listen to some of his tunes before the show, but I think he became more of a fan after listening to him live.
So, I rushed Randy out the door (because the show was downtown and started at 7pm and ohmygosh if we don't get there on time and miss the show I will be pissed). So, we still left a little late and by the time we arrived the opening act hadn't even begun (at which time Randy gave me the "i told you so" look) and we proceeded to go for a stroll around the block to kill some time before going inside. We turned the corner and went down the street a little and saw a big tour bus, which we figured belonged to the band. Then Randy casually says, "Hey, there he is" and sure enough, there he was with a bag from whole foods in tow. So we headed over to grab this quick picture:
The show was fantastic, we had a great time and came home to a happily, sleeping baby thanks to my Aunt Sue & cousin Emily.
This past weekend, we spent a few hours at Sea World getting some fresh air and exercise. We found the kiddie section of the park, complete with all the water a little one could ever need. We didn't have a suit for Annie, but there was no way we could deny her the fun of running through the water, so we stripped her down and let her do her thing. It was a complete success by her standards:

The only problem was her diaper became so filled with water that it began to sag to the point where Annie was walking around like a little plumber. The diaper rash that followed the next day was NOT GOOD (oh how I miss thee, cloth diapers), but after a day or so was gone and all was well with the world again.
So, Randy's in Chicago for a few days this week, working. We got to G-chat over the interwebs earlier today and Annie had a blast laughing at her Daddy as usual. She even leaned in for a kiss of the screen. (Good thing for her daddy, as her kisses are the slobbery, wet, open-mouthed kind).
Speaking of technology, our baby monitor/cam is set up via a secure connection over the web, so Randy can check-in on the little munchkin from his iPhone when he's away to get his baby fix and see things like this:

There's nothing sweeter!
